Bertha's journey comes to an end

On July 31, 2022 the Bertha app will go offline. To be able to use all functions of the app in the future you have two possibilities.

Switch now to Mercedes me Fuel & Pay to pay your fuel either contactless via Mercedes me app or directly from the vehicle. In the future you will find all functions in the Mercedes me ecosystem.

No Mercedes-Benz?

Get the ryd app. Just like Bertha, ryd allows you to pay for fuel via app. Even without a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

What is Mercedes me Fuel & Pay?

With Fuel & Pay you can now pay quickly, securely and contactlessly at the gas station via MBUX on the display in the vehicle or via the Mercedes me app.

    How it works:
  • Activate the Mercedes me Fuel & Pay service & store a payment method.
  • Find participating gas stations on the map and navigate to them.
  • Start Fuel & Pay, select gas pump, fill up, pay & continue driving directly.

    How to activate Mercedes me Fuel & Pay:
  • Open the Mercedes me app on your smartphone.
  • Tap on your vehicle model.
  • Select the "Service management" option.
  • Scroll to "Fuel & Pay" and activate the service.

The Tank App

Find your nearby gas station with ryd and pay via app from your car. Even without a Mercedes Benz vehicle.

How it works:

  • Download the ryd app from the iOS or Play Store.
  • Sign up in less than 10 seconds using Apple, Google or email and enter your payment method.
  • Find your nearest gas station, fill up as usual and pay directly from the app.

Your ryd benefits:

  • No extra on gas
  • Available at over 2,400 gas stations in over 6 countries (more than 1,600 in Germany)
  • Secure payment with credit card (Mastercard, Visa) as well as PayPal
  • Practical for families, drivers with animals in the car and motorcyclists (just leave your helmet on)
